Taxi Drivers in Singapore

Ever since i started working, i took a cab whenever i needed to return equipments. But taking a cab is like a lucky draw. I always wish i could get a cab driver which is friendly and smiles a lot. But my experience with cab drivers are quite bad. I usually get drivers who are rude and well impatient, while some just would not pick me up.

1 such case was when i was with my mom and her friends. It was around 11.40pm, we were all hungry and decided to take a cab out to eat supper. As i was trying to get a cab, i couldn't get 1. There were a lot of cabs around but they were not with passengers. What made me mad was that they pass by us, looking at us and drove faster. I know they want to earn extra from the midnight charge but this is ridiculous. In the end, my mom called her taxi friend to fetch us.

Another case was in the morning. I took a cab to work but this time they were all eager to pick me up as there was the $2 peak hour charges. Yes it was quick to get a cab but their attitude was bad. I was in a cab going to work. He was friendly by asking me some questions so i reply back. And trying to be nice, i ask a question nicely, "It is $2.70 for a Comfort cab now?", i ask that question as i did not know. I don't take a cab that often, like only once in a month. And then his attitude changed, he was like pissed with me or something, calling us morning workers. He said something like," wah lao, why always got people ask this kind of question. It was like this all along. Don't you know that?". And he further talk more while i kept quiet. He said," you morning workers taking a cab in the morning. Just take a cab and keep quiet lar, whatever extra charge you just pay, ask so much for what." i was pissed by this comment but i kept quiet as he was more senior than me, i didn't want to argue. He further added,"Si bei sian one, peak hours is from 7am to 9.30am one, all people should know what." At that moment, i wish the trip was faster. Finally after 20mins, i arrived and i quickly paid and get off.

Yes they are working to earn money to feed their family, yes every cent mean a lot to them, but we are all humans too. But why can't they treat people nicer, they are in the service business for crying out loud. What if tourist took a cab and the person is not me, it would spoil the image of singapore taxi drivers, and also Singaporeans.

Genting AGAIN!!

Just this weekend, i went to genting. It was a 2day 1 nite trip.. Haha it's silly to go there for just a nite but well i was forced to go. It was a tour to go praying then go genting for a day to relax before heading back to singapore. But one of my mom's friend had something on last min so i had to fill in for her. And the worst thing was the CANI assignment 1's deadline is on mon, so i had to bring my labtop there to go. But before all these, i had to renew my passport. I went to Lavander station there to renew and damn there are alot ppl going overseas and doing last minute renewal. And it was alot alot ppl till i had to wait like a 100+ ppl. I wait till fall asleep still haven finish, then as my passport photo is too old le so i had to change. Have to wait again after that. Damn but at least i dun have to renew for 5 years now so i'm glad. I wasted like 3 hours there just waiting.

On the trip there, it was so long. I boarded the bus on fri 11pm and traveled to KL first to pray. We reach there around 4+ am and went there to walk walk and pray. And then i saw a familiar sight. i saw Jia Wen.. Haha and with his parents. It was unbelievable to find a familiar sight in malaysia but it's so lucky to find him. At least i got to spend some time with him, to catch up on things. Then i also had to do 3Ds max assignment so i went to my hotel room to do. it's so sad to do work while in a holiday place. Sianz. and the worst part was during morning, my mom's friend always smoke and smoke and smoke, almost a pack a day. Damn my clothes stink too!! Couldn't finish my assignment but well at least i get to enjoy doing project there as the weather is so cool and nice. There are so many things to see and eat, also doing assignment at coffeebean with the cold breeze blowing is just great. haha =) hope i can bring my labtop there again to play if i'm alone. I love the hot chocolate there, it's so nice. Yum Yum.. here are some pics i have taken..
